The DIE HARD Prop And Wardrobe Online Museum

WELCOME TO DIEHARDPROPS.COM

                                            About Me

My name is Simon Lee, I'm 25 Years Old and reside in West Yorkshire, in the north of England. I started collecting movie memorabilia at the age of 18 after attending the 'Memorabilia' collectors show at the Birmingham NEC in 2002 and coming into contact with screen used movie props for the first time at the Prop Store Of London booth. My first prop was a rubber ammo clip from 'Black Hawk Down', it cost me £15 and i still have it today!

Ever since i can remember, Die Hard has been my favourite film. Like many, i grew up watching action movies with my father, such as the Die Hard series, the Lethal Weapon series and various other classics from that era.

I first got into collecting Die Hard props and wardrobe in 2004 when i purchased the jacket worn by Kevin Chamberlin as 'Charlie' in the 1995 sequel 'Die Hard With A Vengeance'.

In 2006 i tracked down a large number of hero props from the original film, Die Hard, which had been displayed in a very large display box, for many years, on the wall of the prophouse that worked on the film back in 1987. The collection of props was probably the largest collection of Die Hard props to have been found, many of which were thought to have been lost or destroyed after all these years! Items included in the box were John McClanes Wallet, his block of C4, his NYPD Credentials, MP5 Stunt Machine Gun, Stunt Beretta and many many more.

I have spent a long time researching these props, many of which i have now passed on to other collections around the world. At the back end of 2006 i decided to launch this website to archive these pieces of film history and enable other fans of Die Hard to get as much joy out of seeing these artifacts as i have.

This website is very much a work in progress, so please check back often as it will be updated.

If you own any Production related memorabilia from the Die Hard series and would like to submit it for consideration to be included in this online archive then please contact me via the 'Contact' form giving me your name, brief details of your item/s and an e-mail address for me to contact you.

Thank you for reading, and I hope you enjoy your stay!
